Accuracy of calculations
We build each calculator using the formulas and rates that are publicly documented by the relevant authority — RBI circulars, the Income Tax Department, scheme notifications from India Post or the National Savings Institute, and equivalent official sources for non-India tools. We check these before publishing a tool and periodically after. Even so, rates, slabs, and rules change, sometimes with little notice, and a specific bank, employer, or authority may apply a variation we haven’t accounted for. Treat every result as an estimate to guide your thinking, not a guaranteed or binding figure. If a number here doesn’t match what your bank, employer, or the tax department tells you, trust the official figure.
No guarantee of outcomes
Investment and savings calculators (SIP, mutual fund returns, stock returns, and similar tools) use the rate of return you enter or a commonly cited historical average. Past performance shown by any index or scheme is not a promise of future returns, and actual results from any real investment can be significantly higher or lower than what a calculator projects. We don’t recommend any specific investment, lender, insurer, or financial product, and nothing on this site should be read as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial instrument.
