YourToolbox started from a fairly ordinary frustration: every time we needed to check an EMI, work out GST on an invoice, or figure out what a Sukanya Samriddhi deposit would actually grow into after fifteen years, we ended up on a page cluttered with pop-ups, forced sign-ups, or numbers that didn’t match what the bank quoted us. Most calculators online are built to collect an email address before they’ll show you a result. Ours aren’t.
YourToolbox is built and maintained by Nakshatra Technologies Pvt Ltd, an India-based technology company. We build practical, no-nonsense calculators and tools for money, tax, business, and everyday tasks — and we keep every one of them free, with no login wall and no hidden paywall on the results.
What you’ll find here
The site is organised into a growing set of calculators covering loans and EMIs, government savings schemes such as PPF, SSY, and SCSS, income tax across multiple countries, GST and invoicing tools for small businesses, salary and CTC breakdowns, and a set of everyday utilities like PDF converters and developer tools. We’re not trying to be everything to everyone in one release — we add tools in small, carefully checked batches rather than dumping out a thousand half-finished calculators at once.
How we keep the numbers right
A calculator is only useful if the underlying rate, slab, or rule is current. Tax sections change, RBI revises loan-to-value norms, PPF and SSY interest rates are reviewed every quarter, and GST rates get restructured. Before we build or update a tool, someone on our side checks the current rule against an official or authoritative source — RBI circulars, the Income Tax Department, or the relevant government notification — rather than relying on whatever was true when the calculator was first written. Even so, tax and financial rules can change after we publish, and your specific situation may involve details a generic calculator can’t account for. Nothing on YourToolbox is financial, tax, or legal advice; treat every result as a starting estimate and confirm anything that matters — a large loan, a tax filing, a business decision — with a qualified professional or the relevant official source.
Your calculations stay yours
Every calculator on this site runs the maths directly in your browser. When you enter a loan amount, a salary figure, or an investment horizon, that number is not sent to our servers, stored in a database, or shared with anyone — it exists only on the page you’re looking at, for as long as you’re looking at it. We think that’s how a calculator should work, and it’s one of the reasons we didn’t build a login system in the first place.
Why it’s free
YourToolbox is supported by advertising rather than subscriptions. That’s a deliberate choice — a calculator you use for thirty seconds isn’t something most people want to pay for, and we’d rather build something that’s genuinely useful to as many people as possible than lock the good tools behind a paywall.
Still building
